Combat Assistance from Installations
|
|
It is acceptable to request fighter backup from friendly installations when engaded
with hostiles. After targeting an installation with <T> a standard infomation
scan of the installation <I> will identify fighter support available. Requests for assistance should be made through normal Comms channels <C>. You can of course command fighters belonging to your factories to act as wingmen by hailing them on the Comms Channels. Provision of fighters from other installations depends on a Pilot's legal and personal standing in the system and does not allow the issuing of combat orders.
In exceptional circumstances alien destroyers and carriers may agree to aid human pilots on missions of mutual importance.

Problems
|
SETA Cut-out Problem
|
666th Intel
|
SETA will not operate whilst your ship is within the gravitational influence of a gate or installation.
Many pilots have been experiencing problems with SETA cutting out during flight. This is due to
over-sensitive movement detection in the SETA cut-out routine and can be remedied by disabling the Joystick or
buying an 'optical' Joystick rather than a 'mechanical' one - 666th Standard Issue is the MS-Sidewinder Precision Pro.
Ship Rudder Optimisation Upgrades can reduce the problem, as can increasing the joystick's 'dead zone'..

enhancement goggles simutaneously with <ALT> + <TAB> is a dangerous practice.
