Building Installations

The procedure for purchasing and deploying an installation is as follows. Decide on the type and location of your new installation. Find out where you can buy the required installation, not all species sell all installations. Find a Transporter ship (see below) in a system as close as possible to the Shipyard and open a comms channel to the Transport. Hire the Transport and fly to the Shipyard that provides the required installation. When the transport is in the same system as your ship dock with the Shipyard and buy the required installation. It will be loaded onto the Transport. Fly to the location you wish to build your new installation and wait for the transport to catch up to you. Open a comms channel to the Transport and ask it to deploy your installation. Land on the new installation and set up operational parameters. Transport ships are are special ships with massive cargo bays and fleets of construction robots. They are shown as a small, solid green rectangles on the Tac-Nav. You can generally find a Transport ship in the home system of any species and at various other locations. They charge depending on the number of Jump-gates it has to follow you through. Location of transport ships are noted in the System Reports in these Strategic Resources.
