I recently discovered that I am to be made redundant from my job with the leading UK provider of IT solutions to the veterinary industry due to reprioritisation of company priorities.

As well as designing, developing and supporting LAMP (Linux/Apache/PHP&Perl/MySQL) products I provided network and systems administration (Unix and Linux) and 2nd-line support for the company and it's clients.

Turned out that one of the projects I had to drop back in 2006 was this site.

Still, I had reason to come back to it and am pleasantly surprised to find how well I put the whole thing together back four or five years ago. It needs very little work to maintain or make changes so I'll be trying to get some fresh content up soon.

Between work and all the rest of the things I have to get done I've had to bite the bullet and drop some of my more ambitious projects for now.
Hopefully that means I'll have more time to work on this site.
